Inspired by Planet Blue's summer lookbook and with the official kick of summer, it's time to start thinking of some fun staycation ideas. No need to worry about what to pack or sit in paranoia at the airport fretting that you forgot to pack your iPhone charger. Instead, venture out to other cities in your state, explore new scenery right in your own backyard, learn to surf, or do something that you'd never, ever do before.
Some of the activities on my summer staycation wish-list are; (but are not limited to) include: zip-lining in Catalina Island, hiking in Topanga Canyon, hitting the OC Fairgrounds for summer concerts and fried foods, flea market shopping at the Pasadena Rosebowl, spending a day at the Santa Monica Pier, and venturing out to Santa Barbara and Malibu to explore the city's beaches and restaurants. With that said, why not make it a fashionable staycation and have fun with your outfits. Pull out those bright prints, retro sunglasses, pom pom booty shorts, and arm full of bangles and go out and enjoy summer. Don't forget to bring your camera and document it along the way.
